I’m looking for urgent care near me.

CFAS offices are not urgent care facilities, but typically you will be seen by a highly-trained, highly-qualified medical specialist as soon as within 24 hours. Simply schedule online through our self service or call 813-413-6895 to schedule an appointment.

CFAS is for the initial consultation only. The $250 guarantees you an in-office visit with a Fellowship Trained Board Qualified Podiatric Surgeon specialist. All subsequent care can be through your insurance. If you do not have insurance and need surgery, in-person procedures can be performed at discounted rates as needed. What if I want a 2nd opinion?

Do you treat children?

Of course. Please know that CFAS offices are not pediatric urgent care facilities. With the exception of Geriatric Medicine, CFAS specialists are in practice to see patients of all ages, and CFAS is the fastest way to see a specialist near you. Our CFAS physician has performed conservative care Ponsetti Casting for clubfoot during his time with Essential Strides Mission trips and performs casting of custom orthotics for pediatric flatfoot, metatarsus adductus, and in-toeing,  in addition to countless  surgical correction and reconstructions on pediatric feet for clubfoot, flatfoot, and cavus foot.

What if I’m going out of town & need quality care?

Whether you have travel medical insurance or not, there are no worries as our CFAS physician also performs TeleMedicine visits. Please see our TeleHealth FAQ’s for more. Rest assured all CFASs are vetted through a stringent credentialing process to ensure they meet our strict standard of excellence.

What if I haven’t met my annual (yearly) deductible?

Sometimes, not going through insurance is a cost-saving method for patients without major medical illnesses on high deductible plans! If you haven’t met your health insurance deductible for the year, you’re an ideal candidate for CFAS. Since high insurance deductibles are rarely met, we welcome payment by HSA (Health savings Account), FSA (Flexible Spending Account) or credit card.

I need to use my HSA (Health Savings Account)

CFAS is one of the HSA Eligible Expenses. Simply input your Health Savings Account number and the $250 will be deducted without any work on your part.

What if I’m in college/I’m the parent of a college student?

Student healthcare is our priority too. CFAS accepts all major credit cards. Student health insurance can be used for subsequent visits.

I’m looking for urgent care or emergency care near me.

CFAS offices are not urgent care facilities or emergency departments, and you should seek urgent/emergency care in cases of true emergencies, but you will be seen by a highly-trained, highly-qualified medical specialist as soon as within 24 hours which can avoid having to undergo lengthy wait times in these facilities and often can avoid the much higher expenses associated in said facilities by seeking quickly accessible specialized care. A telehealth consult visit is a great use to triage your podiatric concern and determine if you need urgent/emergent services. Avoid Double and Triple Billing. Often times these facilities will prescribe antibiotics, or apply an inappropriate bandage or boot/cast and send their bill for service and set you up with a follow-up appointment with a specialist who will then have to bill for their services. Avoid being double or triple billed and get the proper care the first time around. Common examples we see are infected ingrown nails that aren’t removed and given antibiotics for us to remove later, a missed fracture or tendon laceration and patient discharged in regular shoes without proper  weigthbearing instructions, or an infected wound that was seen and not debrided. Please note, CFAS is not liable for patients choosing to not seek emergency care in events of true limb-threatening, medical or life threatening emergencies. We support the use of urgent and emergency care services and direct patients to these services when needed.

Does CFAS have providers that are multi-lingual?

Our provider Dr. Bryan Raymond is fluent in Haitian-Creole as well as Spanish and welcome patients of all backgrounds, cultures, and ethnicities.

I need to book a doctor visit, but hate waiting on hold.

Book a doctor appointment online on our website using the CFAS self service widget. Your appointment will occur with a nearby doctor in person. No phone call or waiting on hold necessary. Of course, phone call and email are always available options.
